“Dressed in Easter-egg colors, with matching hats and… skirts… (the costumes are by Nathan R. Rohrer)”
These are the original costume design renderings created for the 2011 New Colony production, which opened at Dank Haus in Chicago, Illinois, on June 24, 2011.
This production was subsequently presented in New York City at the 2012 New York International Fringe Festival, before transferring to the SoHo Playhouse, Off-Broadway, on October 20, 2012.
In 2014, the original design was updated for the re-mounted Chicago production produced by Chicago Commercial Collective.
Five Lesbians Eating A Quiche was published by Samuel French in 2014, and these costumes continue to be used in various iterations of the official New Colony production to this day.
